Aston Martin electric car 2019



Aston Martin electric car production has been co-developed with Williams Advanced Engineering.

The Rapide E 550-hp V-12 engine and six-speed automatic transmission for two rear-mounted electric motors making 602 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque. The Aston Martin electric car top speed around 155 mph, but to reach from zero to 60 mph take less than four seconds. The speed did not slow down when battery-charge level decreased. Aston also claims that the Rapide E's powertrain "enhances the feel, character, and delivery" of the V-12–engine. The Rapide E's battery pack Aston Martin has a range of over 200 miles.

The Rapide E uses 800 volt fast-charger which charges the battery in three hours. Good aerodynamics helps in long range. Aston claims that their Rapide E has fantastic looking aluminum wheels that have an aerodynamic design that improves efficiency of the car without compromising cooling of brakes and engine.
The car has a 10-inch digital gauge that shows graphics for charge level, energy consumption, and power level. Aston smartphone app monitors the battery status and charging, in addition it provides walking directions.
